I've chosen our VBC-130 for this lovely recreation although the the swatches below indicate some great alternatives, that may be more appropriate for certain skin tones and climates
Pair with our gym bag in blue and a pair of funky aviators to complete the look.
As we are flying through one of the most patriotic years Britain has seen for quite some time, all eyes were on Wimbledon yesterday - be it for the strawberries cream or the sport itself.Following on from Royal Ascot, this was another great occasion for bringing out some suiting masterpieces - hence why I have rounded up a few of my favourites:.
Firstly we have Andre Agassi with wife Steffi Graff - not only both tennis stars but also both in great ! Agassi has gone for a daring single breasted with notched lapels straight squared pockets.
And while we're on sporting stars I just couldn't miss out Ryan Giggs' dazzling blue suit. It is very similar in tone to Tom Cruise's infamous electric blue suit in Mission Impossible 4. It's such a statement colour this summer and looks great with a crisp white shirt. If you're looking for a brighter blue suiting cloth take a look at our VBC range, it's a beautifully lightweight cloth made from a Mohair mix.
Further evidence of the Blue craze is James Middleton seen here at Wimbledon. James has raised the tone even further with this sky blue suit. I'd definitely recommend getting a sample of our light blue linen if this is a look you'd care to try!
Keeping my eye on the many suited gents at Wimbledon this year I've noted that the notched lapel is definitely dominating as spectators have gone for a more relaxed style not requiring the sharp effect of a peaked lapel.
For the ladies - white is most definitely the colour! A bright white cropped jacket is perfect for the summer and is so easy to accessorise with any outfit. Wimbledon is such an essential British tradition and along with the strawberries and cream really signifies the start of the summer. It's a perfect excuse to put away your wintery black and grey suits and step out in something a bit more colourful. Pop in to Manchester or any of our studios and have a look through our extensive range of cloths to find the right colour for you!
Tom Cruise is probably one of the most famous men on the planet and he turns 50 today - he has had countless box office hit movies and has sported a fair few suits that can be admired.
The first that comes to mind is the one that Tom sported in the new Mission Impossible movie - Ghost Protocol. The in question was a vibrant blue colour and appeared as Ethan Hunt chased his target through a sandstorm in Dubai.
Another suit that Tom has worn that stood out is a double breasted number that he wore at the premiere of the film Valkyrie.
As seen above Tom rocks the double breasted suit . The fabric is a medium grey herringbone - which is more suited to the winter months. Notice that the jacket only has 4 buttons, this is due to Tom not being the tallest person - so the buttons sit higher to elongate his torso. Tom has paired the suit with a white shirt and grey silk tie .
The next suit in the Tom Cruise suiting hall of fame is the near-matching suit that he wore with his soon to be ex-wife Katie Holmes .
Above you can see the pair in navy suits , Tom's suit is a silk wool mix and he has dressed it down with a grey jumper and unbuttoned white shirt. Katy is wearing a pinstripe number with a waistcoat and no shirt - she has also rolled the cuffs of her suit jacket up to reveal the pink lining (a nice feminine touch). As outfits on their own they would look great - but I don't think I am a fan of the matching couple look.
Born on December 18th, 1978 Katie Holmes wife of Tom Cruise, rose to the bottom of her career, after starring in Dawson's Creek a mildly popular American teen drama and then fell off the fame ladder until she fell for the Mission Impossible star in early 2005.
Tom likes Katie in a because she looks professional, and carries it off well. Above you can see her on the cover of In-Style magazine with a great pinstripe , with contrasting .
Katie told In-Style magazine: Tom likes me in a suit every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush. He'll say, 'You look good. I hope security's going with you.' Now that gives me attitude.
The two of them are still head-liners in the States and Katie has taken time out from the family to make the recently released film Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark a horror film set in 1910.
