This week, we've been faced with another 'Royal' event to dress for - this time it's a little more casual than Royal Ascot, however with the Queen set to make an appearance it's advised to look your very best! She's not made an appearance since 1946, when she was just a princess.
Although not such a formal occasion, Henley Royal Regatta still carries a strict dress code - that is enforced. The dress code states that gentlemen are required to wear a for most enclosures.
If you're part of a rowing club, it's expected for you to wear the blazer colours of the said rowing club.
If you're looking to get the 'Henley preppy look', you can always follow the guys above with separates (although they're members of a rowing club). The blazers above are navy, with two buttons and white trim on the pockets and lapels. They've paired their blazers with stark white trousers to contrast the dark navy blazers and match the trim. Accompanying this they're wearing their rowing club ties and have straw boaters (optional for the look, unless you're part of the club itself).
If you're planning on going this weekend, then a pair of chinos and smart blazer is advised. Linen suits are always a good choice too, as they keep you cool and look smart - especially if the weather is going to be warm.
A blazer that I think will look great for the weekend at Henley is the below, I like the subtle pattern and it's not too formal - perfect for the weekend.
