A Suit That Fits Blog

The Number One Suiting Resource

Brett123
For as long as tailoring has been around, the double-breasted suit has been at the forefront of suiting. A classic that 'suited' everyone from War veterans to Presidents as well as the odd style icon in between.
I believe that this suit is one that will last forever - style wise, 'look' wise and even 'wear' wise. The double-breasted suit is not only for the older gentleman, but can have a modern edge put on it to make it more cosmopolitan and contemporary. Many young suiting aficionados of today have developed a keen sense of how to do this and the results are outstanding.

One such instance can be seen where the regular double-breasted jacket length has been shortened and the suit made more fitted over the entire body. The shorter jacket elongates the legs and modernises the look by lengthening the entire profile of the wearer. Trousers also are more fitted and 'just on' the shoes rather than past or to the back of the heel, with a turn-up of course. A modern take on this classic style makes this garment 21st century compatible in all the right ways.

Long live the Double-Breasted Suit!
