Gary Barlow, whose sartorial good taste has always impressed us at A Suit That Fits, is to be awarded the OBE by the Queen for his work on the recent Diamond Jubilee Concert.
Throughout the last series of the X Factor, Gary was seen wearing a succession of beautifully tailored jackets and suits. He did not let us down by greeting the Queen after the Diamond Jubilee Concert in a very smart black 3 piece suit.
I am sure I will be asked to re-create this look for many of my customers at my Oxford and Reading studios, as he has created a look that is very versatile, and suitable for wear on a wide range of occasions.
The jacket is a single breasted, peak lapel design, with one button fastening and slanted flapped pockets in the slightly shorter style that he prefers. Underneath he sports an on trend low cut, 3 button single breasted waistcoat, teamed with a white, button down collar shirt, and silver patterned tie. The trousers are a slimmer fit, straight leg with non pleated front.
Although the Queen was not present during his performance of 'Need you Now,' with Cheryl Cole she has rewarded his brilliant work and dedication with this award. It's rumoured that Louis Walsh is already calling his X Factor co-judge and Take That star, Sir! Well Gary our award for dedication to tailored style go to you!
