The Classic White Suit and Waistcoat

Do you like your outfits to be both refined and flashy? Is it possible to marry such disparate qualities in the same immaculate garment? Take a look at this ivory three-piece suit, recently worn by Mr. Durham, one of our valued customers, on his special day. Don’t you think there’s something elegant *and* loud, something delicate *and* proud about this, perhaps my favourite, wedding suit by A Suit That Fits. What we’re talking about here is the kind of refinement that even I, in my privileged position as a reviewer of a wide range of men's suits, don’t get to see very often – especially in this age of the ‘machine made’. No, this is a refinement that most high street chains can only dream of – a style that recalls something of the sublime préciosités of 17th century France. Perhaps it’s the waistcoat’s pink satin back, the rose bunch print of the Egyptian cotton shirt, the hot pink tie, or the clean, pressed whiteness of the wool – either way, doesn’t this magnificent ivory suit recall those amorous days… of kisses stolen in a momentarily empty salon, of epistles delivered under cover of night, of a silent vocabulary of glances and sighs…? It’s almost enough to break your heart.

If all this romance is more than your stomach can take, do not fear. There are a number of other uses for an ivory suit that may not have crossed your mind. Why not try matching its whiteness with a pitch black shirt – ala Travolta – and dazzling at the nearest discotheque?
