|Alexander Priest and his new Double Breasted Suit|
A 2 piece suit of charcoal grey, medium weight blended herringbone wool ideal for colder months. The jacket is fully lined with a regal purple satin lining. A double breasted four button jacket with 2 button fastening and peaked lapels, double vented and straight flapped pockets with four buttons on the cuff. The trousers were straight leg with hip adjusters, cross side pockets and a single right back pocket. Alexander works for a local law firm close to A Suit That Fits’ Queen Square studio in Bristol, and is definitely a great example of a man reclaiming the Double Breasted as suitable and stylish attire for the younger gent. For a long time DB’s have been the reserve of a small group of traditionalists while the single breasted has hogged the limelight.
Now a new generation of suit wearers are picking up on this hidden gem and showing us that the DB really is an asset to the style conscious. Alexander has a very classic style that perfectly suits his choice of straight leg trousers in the DB suit.
I hope that he inspires a new generation to experiment with the DB, taking a classic look and applying it to a younger audience is the perfect way to revamp traditional designs as well as giving the wearer a unique style.
Alexander has already ordered his next suit with us, he’ll be sporting a single breasted three button before long. Again, showing his classic style with an interesting twist, his suit will be made using a grey wool/silk blended herringbone with a slight sheen and subtle blue and purple stripe to give it that extra edge.
