Whether your suit is for a special occasion, a day at the office or, well… just because you fancy adding to your wardrobe, your possibilities are now wide open.
The new cloths we are showcasing are Super 120’s and 130’s, 100% Italian wools and flannels and a couple of cheeky checks and smart stripes to name but a few.
What makes a cloth ‘Super’?
This is down to how many times the yarn has been twisted. Any fabric that is a super 100 or above is considered a ‘high twist’. Super 120 wool is regarded as one of the finest grades of wool available. The higher the grade the quality of the cloth.
Within our ‘Supers’ we have some utterly gorgeous checks, stripes and bold colour tones. The feel of these is exquisite and luxurious and from a tailoring perspective, great to work with!
This is a yarn that is spun from fibres that have been combed. Combing the fibres ensures that all of the fibres are running in the same direction. Worsted wool makes for a great heavy-duty suit to be worn on a regular basis.
In our new range, we have a rainbow of rich Sharkskin, which is famous for being lightweight and wrinkle free. Great for running around the office or for your special occasion.
Flannel is predominantly made from cotton but can be made from synthetics. Flannel fabrics can be brushed during the start of the spinning process by using a delicate metal brush with super fine bristles. This lifts the finer fibres from the looser section of yarn.
Brushing the yarn creates a ‘Nap’; double napped flannel means the fabric has been brushed on both sides. This cloth is fabulously soft and sits structurally well on the body.
We have some vibrant colours and stripes within this new range and this cloth is fabulously soft and sits structurally well on the body.
This is one of the oldest cloths recorded in history and is made from Flax otherwise known as Linseed. It is a fantastic fabric to keep you cool in warmer climates.
