Like The Voice UK, The Voice of Ireland has received flack for not producing a big star and for achieving less than stellar ratings. If anything can be blamed for the show’s apparent failings, it’s definitely not lack of star power: legendary singer Dolores O’Riordan (of The Cranberries) returns this season as a coach alongside more recent musical talents Jamelia, Niall Breslin (Bressie) and Westlife’s Kian Egan.
While the show’s success would be a definite bonus for Ireland’s music industry, all I can think about is what it has to offer in terms of sartorial finesse. Judging from publicity shots, Bressie (lead singer of The Blizzards) stands out as the most stylish coach, his black three piece beating Kian Egan’s skinny two piece for the award of best dressed suit. This isn’t the first time Bressie has rocked the three piece suit: it’s fast becoming something of a signature look. Check out these pictures (above) of the former Gaelic footballer wearing a dark grey, notched-base waistcoat with slashed pockets, and a light grey, pinstripe waistcoat with five buttons. Keeping it cool by leaving off the suit jacket and rolling up his sleeves, Bressie demonstrates how to incorporate a bit of a rock aesthetic into the classic sartorial “look.”
As for Kian Egan and Eoghan McDermott, the show’s other standout dressers, a look at both their wardrobes demonstrates the simple fact that every man ought to own at least one slim fit black suit. Options from Tullamore suit (named after the famous Whisky-producing town in County Offaly), which can be fitted with a regular, slim or ultra slim cut, or design your own from our large range of fabrics.
