When you see our exquisite, pre-designed, cashmere overcoats with their quilted, satin linings, you won’t want to wear any other kind of coat over your bespoke tailored suit this autumn.
Overcoats for Autumn and Winter
I don’t know about you, but this year, I’m rather looking forward to the Boston winter. Not only do I get to dig out my favorite, green, mohair sweater, I get to wear overcoats again. Whether you live in New York, Dublin, London, or another British city, our studios are awaiting your call: Let one of our bespoke tailored overcoats keep you warm this autumn and winter.
I’m also pretty set on the exact overcoat I’ll be ordering this year: Check out this fantastic, midnight blue coat with its silver lining. Definitely my favorite of A Suit That Fits’ pre-designed overcoats.
Our bespoke overcoats are entirely customizable, meaning you get to choose everything – from the cloth you want to the number of buttons you’ll have (on the front and on the cuff) to the pocket and lapel style you’ll have. You also get to choose whether you want a quilted lining (sewn in or detachable). In Boston, I’m sure I’ll need all the quilting I can get: it gets freezing here.
Besides the details of the overcoat, you also get to choose how slim or relaxed you want it to fit.
Don’t forget that you can also add numerous “personal” touches, including contrast piping on the interior of the overcoat, hidden buttons, a storm flap, gun flap and epaulettes.
What’s a storm flap, I hear you say? It’s a piece of material added to your lapel with the intention of stopping rain from getting inside your overcoat. And a gun flap? It’s that piece of cloth which buttons over your chest from your right shoulder – also designed to protect from excessive rain.
Both the storm flap and the gun flap have become something of a fashion statement in recent years.
