Esquire Weekly’s 21st August 2014 edition featured none other than A Suit That Fits’ Hayley Harmer, our Bristol style advisor and tailor.
Hayley told Esquire Weekly’s readership how they can “Make a Good Suit Look Great,” offering 6 style and tailoring tips every gentleman should know.
Reading style advice on your tablet
Esquire magazine’s tablet edition, Esquire Weekly is aimed at a younger readership and features interactive graphics and classic writing on style and culture. Now you can read all about A Suit That Fits’ tips for looking great without carrying a large magazine everywhere you go.
Just whip out your iPhone and check out Hayley’s advice!
What were Hayley’s tips?
Among classic tips like matching your tie width to your lapel and investing in a good pair of shoes, Hayley offered esoteric advice such as the best way to slim down your waist using the shape of your trouser pockets (think slanted, not straight – “to create the illusion of a narrower waistline”).
As our local Bristol tailor and studio manager, Hayley lives and breathes the A Suit That Fits brand, so we’re especially proud of her for being featured in Esquire Weekly. Let’s hope the publication’s readership takes note of the excellent advice she’s dispensing and books an appointment for a bespoke tailored suit soon.
Every man can follow this advice
Hayley’s article in Esquire Weekly might be the most helpful one from a sartorial perspective, but the issue features tons more great advice – from how to disguise an office romance to writing a bestselling book.
The difference between Hayley’s advice and most of the rest is that every man should know how to make a good suit look great, whereas not everyone will want to write a bestseller. As if in recognition of this fact, Esquire Weekly lists her article on the front page in pole position. Bravo, Hayley!
